parenting resources to help support the black lives matter movement

because your children are watching.

bloom coco go beach house white

At bloom, we do not stand for racial injustice in any form. We are parents and parents-to-be, just like you, and we believe it is our most important job to raise our children as anti-racist. Black Lives Matter, and we are committed to the fight for racial equality and justice.

We support  those on the front lines protesting, but also know there are so many other ways to join this critical movement, even from home with a baby. In fact, parents of babies and toddlers are a critical voice in this discussion! We are raising the next generation after all.  Studies show that babies can show racial preferences as young as 3 months old, which means it’s never too soon to start teaching them that Black Lives Matter.

Here at bloom, we are thankful you have invited us into your home, and we take that responsibility seriously. So we’ve put together a list of things that our bloom staff is doing to fight injustice, from sending money to grassroots organizations to buying from black-owned businesses to reading diverse books to our little ones.

Below are some resources that we’ve found useful to help support the Black Lives Matter movement, from a parenting perspective. We hope they will help you make a difference, not just today, but throughout your parenting journey.
